Finally the document has been signed... said Ishaq Dar while addressing a press conference
along with PTI leader Shah Mehmod Qureshi.
He thanked all members of the political jirga and party leaders for their support, adding that
no changes will be made to the agreement. Qureshi on the occasion said the political leadership
of this country had resolved to ensure free and fair elections in the future.
He added that the commission would investigate the 2013 polls, and that the electoral process
would be strengthened, which will reinforce the trust of the masses.
After months of tussle, both the parties on March 20 had agreed on the terms of reference
for forming a judicial commission to investigate allegations of rigging during the May 2013 polls.
